KOALA Adult Day Services 828-884-2980

KOALA, which stands for “Keeping Older Adults Living Abundantly,” is an Adult Day Care / Adult Day Health program that provides health services, adult supervision and creative activities during the day so your loved one may continue to live at home.

The KOALA Center has a trained medical staff, including a Registered Nurse on site, to provide care for individuals that require skilled nursing, while enabling family members to continue to work outside the home.

Who We Serve

Adult Day Services are provided for older adults who have special needs associated with developmental disabilities, vision and hearing impairment, and other injuries or diseases. Most participants are over the age of 60, but the program is open to younger adults as well. The program accepts participants who pay privately, in addition to those who are covered by Veteran Affairs’ benefits and the Community Alternative Program (CAP). Grant funding may also be available for those that qualify.

We are located on the campus of Transylvania Regional Hospital at 23 Medical Park Circle, Brevard, North Carolina 28712. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
