Help Ease the Burden of Cancer Treatment

Support the Brevard Cancer and Infusion Center at Transylvania Regional Hospital

In 2010, we learned that the private oncology group that has been serving our community for more than a decade (Cancer Care of WNC) was planning to close their Brevard satellite office. Imagine the hardship it would pose for our patients if they had to add out-of-town travel to the challenges they face when undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy. To serve these patients, the Hospital’s Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a Hospital-based cancer care center, staffed by oncologists from Cancer Care of WNC. 

The need for this Center arose suddenly, due to unforeseen circumstances, and was not included in the Hospital’s already-strained budget. Our goal at the Foundation is to raise $1 million to help with the building/renovation and outfitting of the Center—and to establish a fund to help provide vital cancer care for low income, uninsured patients. Click here for more information on the Brevard Cancer and Infusion Center at Transylvania Regional Hospital.
